Students of class V also participated in an Intersection Hindi Poem Recitation competition on the theme of patriotism. Famous speeches of Indian leaders were given by class VIII students with exuberance. Class IX students made colourful Rangolis on the theme of tricolour.
A special assembly was organised by class X in which they highlighted the relevance of Independence Day celebrations for today’s generation along with the need to build a new India by destroying all that was not good for the nation. They also gave a soulful rendition of two patriotic songs, poetry recitation and a skit on the diversity of India. In a unique activity, they also painted hands and faces with colours of freedom, unity and equality. Classes III-XII attended a special assembly by the senior students of the school. With a beautiful dance recital, an enactment of the freedom struggle and an energetic group performance by young dancers, CSS was awash with patriotic sentiment and colours.
