Teachers are busy settling their classes first thing in the morning and can only receive the briefest of messages at that time. They are more easily available at the end of the day when they have dismissed their classes. Teachers are happy to make appointments to see you if you would like a longer chat. Teachers also meet parents on PTMs.
We can meet a variety of special needs in school. Please discuss your child’s needs with the teacher. The Special Educational Needs Counsellor will be happy to meet with you to discuss specific concerns.
There are regular Parent Teacher Meetings throughout the year, the details of which are mentioned in the school diary.
Parents are allowed to meet the teachers with prior appointment from 8:00 am to 8:15 am on working days with prior appointment.
Kindly submit the leave application to the Principal’s office with a medical certificate. Do inform the class teacher with a written note in the diary.
The schools communicate with parents through the website, newsletters, text messages, e-mail and school diary. Scheduled communication between teachers and parents includes the parent teacher meetings, end of the term reporting and meeting by appointment. Apart from these scheduled meetings, teachers meet with parents whenever a need arises and much informal communication takes place. The school website offers a vast amount of information on the school, and its programs and events. It is strongly recommended that parents log on to the website to remain aware of school events.
The school encourages involvement of parents. Parents suggestions are taken seriously and solutions incorporated. They are also encouraged to volunteer for and work with the school in holding workshops and taking the initiative for any other program they are interested in.
